Where I Actually Buy Charms for Build-Your-Own Keychains

Where I Actually Buy Charms for Build-Your-Own Keychains

My kids did not need new backpacks. They were very sure they did. So we made keychains instead and it worked.

Since then this is probably the question I get asked the most in DMs. "Where do you get all your charms?!" So here it is, all in one place, finally.

Here is how it works:

  • Grab beads, string, and key rings (I got ours off Temu, but my Amazon list has very similar stuff if you want it faster)
  • Pick your charms from the shop, they start at $2
  • Let your kid string the whole thing themselves, that is the best part

These Temu links are affiliate style, so if you shop through them it helps support Fern Family Co at no extra cost to you ♥️ Quality can vary a little batch to batch since it's Temu, so always check reviews before you order.

My Temu List

  1. Nylon Ropes
  2. Star Keychains
  3. Star Large Hole Beads
  4. Acrylic Flat Round Beads
  5. Colorful Rotating Lobster Clasps
  6. Random Mixed Letter Beads
  7. Iridescent Random Mixed Letter Beads
  8. Large Size Letter Beads

Want it faster instead of hunting through Temu? Grab everything from my Amazon list.

Then Pick Your Charms

Once you have your beads, string, and key rings sorted, head to our Build-Your-Own Keychain shop and pick from 200+ hand drawn charms, starting at $2 each.

A Few Tips If You're Building Your Own

Keychains are such a fun, low pressure way to let a kid express themselves. Mix and match, swap charms out when interests change, no pressure to get it "right." That's honestly the whole point. Let your kid string the whole thing themselves, that is the best part.

Happy charm hunting, besties.
