Use them in the moment. When your kid is dysregulated, point to the board. They pick a strategy.
Clean when needed. If a cling stops sticking, just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. They keep their grip for years.

Practice each strategy with your kid when they are calm. Building the skill before the moment of need is the whole point.

Care for Clings

Use wet erase markers only. Dry erase markers can damage the printed surface over time.
If a cling stops sticking, it likely needs a quick clean. Dust and debris can collect on the back and prevent adhesion.
Wash gently in warm soapy water, rinse well, and let dry face down on a towel.
Avoid sharp objects when applying or removing clings to prevent tears or punctures.
