The vocabulary your kid needs when feelings get big.

Words | Emotion Regulation adds the language layer to your emotion regulation board. Sentence starters, prompts, and the words that help kids name what they feel and what they need. Use it alongside the Name Your Feelings or Body Toolbox cling sheets, or on a board of its own. Divider lines are included so your kid can build their own layout on a blank acrylic board.

No adhesive, no mess. Stick, peel, restick. They never lose their grip.

This listing is for the cling sheet only. The board is sold separately.

New to Fern Family Co.? Start with the Name Your Feelings Board | Starter Bundle to get the board and all three cling sheets in one box.

Why Families Love It

Sentence starters that scaffold the I feel / I need framework
Includes prompts like Name My Feeling, Why Do I Feel This?, and What Can I Do?
Helps kids who can read but freeze up under stress
Pairs with picture clings to bridge from images to language
Divider lines let kids build their own layout on the Visual Strategy Board or a Blank Acrylic Board
Reusable static vinyl, no residue, no magnets, no torn paper

Beckham could point to a feeling. The next step was building the sentence around it. These words are the bridge between pointing and saying it out loud.

How It Works

Place the sentence starters. Press them onto the smooth surface of your acrylic board next to your feelings or strategy clings.
Use them in the moment. Your kid points to a feeling, then to the sentence starter, then to a strategy. The full thought is right there.
Clean when needed. If a cling stops sticking, just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. They keep their grip for years.

Use the dividers to separate the I feel side from the I need side. Visually clearer for kids who get overwhelmed by too much on one board.

Care for Clings

Use wet erase markers only. Dry erase markers can damage the printed surface over time.
If a cling stops sticking, it likely needs a quick clean. Dust and debris can collect on the back and prevent adhesion.
Wash gently in warm soapy water, rinse well, and let dry face down on a towel.
Avoid sharp objects when applying or removing clings to prevent tears or punctures.
